“Treasure’, ‘Joy’, in our dialect Starìci is a pleasant name, a cuteness, a form of verbal love. Those who love us have called us this a million times, as if they wanted to find a special alternative to the name by which everyone calls us. This is why we, too, have chosen the name Starìci for our crispy sweet pepper leaves, which many people call Crusco: because we believe that being able to make these leaves good and crispy is an act of love.
These peppers are grown and dried in the natural air for at least 60 days, cleaned by hands, one by one, from core and seeds, then fried in extra virgin olive oil. Crispy sweet pepper leaves fried in high oleic oil.
