A letter from us to you

It started in the kitchen.
And in the kitchen today it finds its best form.

At the age of 5 I cooked my first meal, oven-baked chicken with potatoes, inspired by my mom’s cooking notes.
From that day, my taste buds demanded more. Growing up I fell in love with the idea of eating authentic food at home.

Coming from a financial background, I’ve been an entrepreneur for almost all my life. When In 2007 I started cooking regularly in my kitchen, my culinary research began. With the prime desire of impressing my girlfriend (and myself), I dug in the most compelling secrets of great taste, experimenting Japanese, French, and, most importantly, Italian cuisine. My goal was to achieve the high level of a restaurant, at home.

To do that, I knew that a good technique wasn’t everything. I knew that the secret of excellent food is the food itself: because quality is key.
Endless research and a deep understanding of the ingredients were what I needed to accomplish in order to meet my goal.

After realizing that Switzerland was not the right place to look for this, I went straight to the source: Italy, where the producers of some of the finest food on Earth still work the traditional, most genuine way.

I met and got tutored by Italy’s best truffle hunters, anchovy producers, wine makers, flour mills and pasta makers, and tomato farmers from “Parco Nazionale del Vesuvio” in Campania. I was honoured to prepare salumi for “Macelleria del Centro Storico” in San Marzano, under the supervision of Maestro Calabrese, and many more.

This journey taught me so much, that I decided to mould it into Terra Consulting. What started as the passion of a curious cuisine lover, today is a business that proves the science of gastronomy right. With our ingredients and restless research, anyone can cook food at home as in a restaurant. Let me share with you what many consider the best of the world’s cookery, from small Italian producers to your tables.

Their passion and love for the raw ingredients have allowed them to keep working in a fair and sustainable way, generation after generation.
