Mullet Bottarga – Sardinian caviar is made from salted and naturally ventilated mullet roe. Its characteristic and delicate flavour was already known and appreciated in ancient times. Sarda Affumicati’s whole mullet bottarga is packaged in vacuum bags with a weight ranging from 110 to 200 grams. The whole product can be consumed in small slices during tasty and delicious appetizers. It is also ideal for the most refined recipes of Sardinian tradition.
How to taste it
Cut into slices with just an addition of extra virgin olive oil or accompanied by a few tufts of rocket or thin artichoke segments. Grated and sprinkled generously over a plate of al dente spaghetti, dressed with extra virgin olive oil, sautéed with a clove of garlic.
Storage: Keep in a cool place, better refrigerated from 0˚C to 4˚C.
