When India is mentioned in connection with drinkables, the first association is probably tea. With Giamaica range of delicious Indian Arabica coffees already available, they have opened up new horizons; their research has led them to make another find. In the depths of the monsoon forests of Karnataka in the southwest of the subcontinent, they discovered the caffè you had always been waiting for. Cultivated since ancient times and refined again and again, a homogeneous population of an independent Arabica variety, only found here, exists in the mountainous region of the Western Ghats around the city of Chikmagalur at high altitudes of around 1100 metres. Hand-picked and washed twice, this pure Arabica has a grading consistency that far exceeds the Indian Plantation A classification. Tasting notes: In a cup, it tastes like cocoa, often without encroaching into the heavy, round like a sphere. Perfect in the morning, in the afternoon and when you want a coffee to keep you company with friends.
