Named after the founder of Torrefazione Giamaica, who created this blend of four Arabica provenances, each roasted separately according to its requirements and then blended together, in 1947. The overwhelming presence and clarity of this classic combination results from the dominance of the fermented-washed Central American highland breeds Guatemala Antigua Pastores and Costarica HTM Tournon. They bring stability, body, multi-layered differentiation, subtle salty notes and a decided acidity structure. The aroma of wild honey and dark chocolate is beguiling, with a taste of fresh nuts; even with milk, these basic aromas remain. With its exceptionally moderate caffeine content, Erbisti ’47 is both a classic caffè al banco and a digestif with excellent taste and function.
